The Sammies Awards Winners!

I am delighted to announce that Dene’s Deli has been voted ‘the Best Independent Sandwich Retailer’ 2017 by the British Sandwich Association.

These awards are aptly named ‘The Sammies’ and our Sammie is now proudly on display in the shop.

Thanks to my fantastic team, who held the fort, I was able to escape to London for a celebratory awards dinner. My daughter accompanied me and we thoroughly enjoyed a very grand affair including an excellent dinner, ( not a sandwich in sight!) good company and a lively dance floor!

It’s good to see the back of winter and I am praying for some fine picnic weather. If you choose to pre order food for picnics, we offer a very smart, easy to carry picnic cool bag service. Perfect for a trip to the beach or closer to home , Jesmond Dene.

If you have already seen one of our ‘Wonka’ style lunch tickets, these are flying out, mainly as donations to various charity events which it’s been a pleasure to support. They can be bought from us too and make a great gift voucher. Recipient could even order a picnic!
